ASU Falls To Saints

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Augusta State fell to Flagler 3-0 in Peach Belt Conference action Friday night at Flagler Gym in St. Augustine, Fla.

With the loss, the Jaguars dropped to 8-7 on the year and 1-3 in the conference, while Flagler improved to 10-8 overall and 3-1 in the PBC.

For the Jags, sophomore Jessica Hanson, junior Tarah Childress and senior Jessica Howard each recorded five kills apiece for the Jaguars and Hanson finished with a .500 hitting percentage. Senior Lindsey Weider added five digs, while sophomore setter Ashley Zappitell booked 15 assists.

For the Saints, Meg Weathersby led with a match-high 12 kills and a .304 hitting percentage. Katie Beale added nine kills, a .312 hitting percentage and collected five digs. Rachel Stacy hit a .750 in two sets as she tallied six kills on eight errorless swings. Olivia Snipes tallied 22 assists.

ASU is back in action on tomorrow, Sept. 26, when they travel to Savannah, Ga., to take on Armstrong Atlantic State in a Peach Belt Conference match at 1:00 p.m.
