ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Augusta State lost 3-0 in straight sets Friday night at Flagler in a Peach Belt Conference matchup in Flagler Gym.
With the victory, the Saints improved to 19-6 overall and 9-1 in the PBC. The Jaguars, who entered the match tied for third place in the conference standings, fell to 13-15 on the season and 5-6 in the league.
Freshman Kristen Koch and Alex Rohlfing paced ASU offensively with eight kills each. Senior Jessica Hanson booked seven winners and freshman Paige Tuttle tallied six putdowns. Junior setter Krystin Wahlig rang up 28 assists and collected 10 digs, as did freshman libero Collette Richards.
Dianna Craine and Emilee Taylor contributed 10 kills each for Flagler. Olivia Snipes and Amanda Dougherty combined for 39 assists, while Craine and Casey Gnann totaled 29 digs.
The Saints finished with a .272 hitting percentage and 6.0 team blocks, compared to just .165 for the Jags.
ASU takes on Coastal Georgia on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., in Brunswick before traveling back up I-95 to face PBC leader and 16th-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State that afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
