CARROLLTON, Ga. -- Augusta State charged back from a 2-0 deficit Friday night and escaped The Coliseum with a 3-2 non-conference road win over West Georgia.
The victory lifted the Jaguars to 5-6 overall, while the Braves slipped to 4-9 on the season.
Freshman Alex Rohlfing booked her sixth double-double in 11 matches with 16 kills and a season-best 18 digs. Senior Jessica Hanson posted 14 kills against just one error and paced the squad with a .371 hitting percentage. Junior Mandy Irizarry (13) and freshman Kristen Koch (12) combined for 25 kills. Junior setter Krystin Wahlig racked up 55 assists and 12 digs and freshman Collette Richards had a team-high 19 digs.
Emily Reul led West Georgia with 18 kills and Amanda Miller netted 56 assists.
The Jags hit .220 as a team and tallied 10 service aces, including four from freshman Paige Tuttle.
ASU takes on Montevallo at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday in Montevallo, Ala., then faces Alabama-Huntsville at 5:00 p.m.
