MONTEVALLO, Ala. -- Augusta State dropped a pair of 3-0 decisions on the road Saturday in Alabama at Montevallo's BankTrust Arena.
The Jaguars (5-7, 1-1) suffered a 3-0 loss to Peach Belt Conference-foe Montevallo as freshman Kristen Koch paced ASU with nine kills. Junior Krystin Wahlig posted 15 assists and freshman Collette Richards had a team-high 14 digs.
ASU posted just 27 kills to 51 from the Falcons and an attack percentage of only .126.
The Jags (5-8) bounced back in the second match of the day against Alabama-Huntsville, dropping three close sets in a 3-0 loss.
Senior Jessica Hanson (16) and freshman Alex Rohlfing (14) combined for 30 kills. Wahlig registered 40 assists while Richards and Rohlfing notched 14 digs each. The double-double for Rohlfing marked her seventh in just 13 matches.
ASU opens a five-match homestand when it hosts Limestone in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 7:00 p.m., in Christenberry Fieldhouse.
