AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Flagler bounced back from an early deficit to win three straight sets and claim a 3-1 Peach Belt Conference victory over Augusta State Friday night in Christenberry Fieldhouse.
The Saints moved to 9-4 overall and 1-0 in the PBC. The Jaguars slipped to 6-9 overall and 1-2 in the league.
Flagler's Crystal Niederriter and Emilee Taylor led the way offensively with 14 kills each. Rachel Stacy notched 11 and Abby Meyers turned in 10. Setter Olivia Snipes racked up 51 assists and Casey Gnann had a match-high 26 digs. Dianna Crane (19) and Taylor (14) accounted for 33 digs between them.
Flagler posted a .302 hitting percentage to just .132 for the Jags. The Saints tallied 9.0 team blocks along with 60 kills and 82 digs.
ASU squares off with 19th-ranked and undefeated Armstrong Atlantic State (13-0, 1-0 PBC) Saturday afternoon at 4:00 p.m., in Christenberry Fieldhouse.
