SAVANNAH, Ga. - Augusta State jumped out to a strong start Friday night in its season opener before falling 3-1 to Tusculum (25-22, 18-25, 17-25, 16-25) at the Armstrong Atlantic State Classic.

The Jags are back in action tomorrow when they take on South Atlantic Conference members Catawba and Lenoir-Rhyne at 11:00 a.m., and 2:00 p.m., respectively.
