AIKEN, S.C. – Augusta State earned a split Saturday on day two of the USC Aiken Invitational at Convocation Center with a 3-1 victory over Nova Southeastern.
The Jaguars (4-3) were blanked 3-0 by 20th-ranked Wingate (7-0) Saturday morning and finished the two-day tournament with a 2-2 record.
In the loss to the Bulldogs, ASU sophomore Alex Rohlfing paced the squad with 12 kills, Krystin Wahlig tallied 17 assists and combined with Collette Richards for 27 digs.
Sophomore Kristen Koch booked a team-high 15 kills in the victory over Nova Southeastern (1-6) and Jenna Keeler turned in 13 kills. Mandy Irizarry chipped in nine kills and three service aces, while Wahlig netted 36 assists and 20 digs.
ASU hosts non-conference foe Erskine on Tuesday, Sept. 11 in the Jags' home opener. First serve is slated for 7:00 p.m., in Christenberry Fieldhouse.
