Box Score Jaguars win three straight Peach Belt Conference matches on the road
PEMBROKE, N.C. – The Augusta University women's volleyball team advanced to 10-3 on the season with a 3-0 Peach Belt Conference victory at UNC Pembroke on Tuesday night in the English E. Jones Center.
The Jaguars (10-3, 4-2 PBC) posted 15 kills as a team in sets one (25-12) and two (25-18) for the early lead. They matched their round one score of 25-12 in the third set to sweep UNC Pembroke 3-0 for Augusta's third consecutive league win on the road
Junior Catherine DeSilvester and sophomore Kali Boatwright handled the digs, with DeSilvester notching a team-best 15 and Boatwright 14. Senior Alyssa Latham owned the assists column and led all competitors with 39. Junior Jordan Bickett paced the Jaguars with 11 kills and nine digs and senior Katie Beresford poured on 10 kills.
Jags-junior Rachel Windle began her day by winning the PBC Volleyball Player of the Week award for her play last week and she posted eight kills against UNCP with an ace and two digs.
Ahead 2-0 in the match and ahead with a safe lead in set three, Alyssa Latham set up Jordan Bickett for the finishing kill to secure the 3-0 road victory.
The Jaguars host a PBC double-feature this weekend in Christenberry Fieldhouse. The Jags host the Flagler Saints on Friday, Oct. 2 at 7:00 p.m. and welcome the Armstrong Pirates on Saturday, Oct. 3 for s 2:00 p.m. match
