Augusta, Ga. – The Augusta University Men's golf team ended the Southwestern Invitational with a 12^th place finish. The Jags shot a combined score of 906 (+42 over par) after shooting a 296 in the third round of play.

Host school, No. 6 Pepperdine, was the only team to finish the tournament with a score under par, shooting an 850 (-14 under par) over three rounds to win the event. No. 10 Arizona State and Southern California tied for second place, shooting an 867 (+3 over par) over two days.

Gustav Andersson posted Augusta's best finish of the tournament, coming in 18^th place with a three-round total of 218 (+2 over par). Andersson shot a 75 in thr first round of the tournament, following that up with a 70 stroke second round (team best) and capped it all off shooting a 73 in the final round.

Alex van Wyk had his best round of the event, finishing -1 under par with a 71 stroke third round, cutting four strokes off his game from the previous, and securing 44^th place with an overall score of 226 (+10 over par).

Vicktor Lindgren and Ben van Wyk each posted a final round score of 76 strokes to end the tournament deadlocked in 59^th place with a 232 stroke final tally.

Jack Vajda had his best round of the competition, cutting six strokes off the previous round's total and two strokes off his event best, with a 77 score in the final round. His final score of 239 earned him a 66^th place finish for the tournament.

Augusta returns to action when they travel to Hilton Head, S.C. for the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate (hosted by Francis Marion) from February 24^th to the 25^th.
