Box Score AUGUSTA, GA- The Augusta University Jaguar women's volleyball squad won a Peach Belt Conference rivalry match against the USC Aiken Pacers on Tuesday evening. Augusta moves to 18-7 (5-2 PBC) while the Pacers are now 16-7 (5-3 PBC).

Augusta was led by
Chloe Allen with a season-high 22 kills and 21 digs.
Kylie Martin and
Alexis Diaz-Infante each added 16 kills to the offensive effort.
Holland Martin led the defense with 27 digs.
Samantha Zittrauer and
Ally Thees dished 29 and 23 assists respectively.
USC Aiken was led by Alie Smith's 23 kills.

As expected in the storied rivalry, each of the 5 sets was closely contested. Â
The opening set was tight from the starting whistle. USC Aiken's 3 service aces in Set 1 helped force an extended 30-28 victory in the set. Augusta took an early 4-1 lead in the second set after a kill from
Alexis Diaz-Infante. A service ace by Kyla Duggan late in the game knotted the score at 23-23 before an attack error by the Pacer's Alie Smith tied the game at 1 set apiece.
USC Aiken won set 3 on a service ace from Caroline Foster. In the fourth set, back-to-back kills from
Chloe Allen gave the Jaguars the 18-13 lead. Two attack errors by the visiting team extended the lead to 20-14 before the Jags forced a fifth set.
Down 10-11 in the fifth set, a kill by
Julie Archer tied the score at 12-12. A net violation by USC Aiken gave the Jags match point and forced the Pacer coaching staff to call a timeout. A kill by
Kylie Martin sealed the match for AU 3-2.
