INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Augusta University men's basketball team holds the No. 12 spot in the latest NCAA National Rankings, released by the National Association of Basketball Coaches on Tuesday afternoon. Augusta, now 9-1, dropped its first contest of the season to a hot 9-2 Columbus State team. The team returns to action New Year's Eve when they travel to Emmanuel for a 2:00pm non-conference contest

The NABC released the poll for the 5
th time this season and Augusta moved to the 12
th spot nationally. Augusta is now 9-1 for the season. Georgia College broke into the top-25, representing the Peach Belt Conference at the No. 25 spot.
Augusta is now the top-ranked team in the country for field-goal percentage defense. The Jaguars are also second in the nation on scoring margin, besting teams by an average of 23.7points.
Miguel Arnold is the current leading scorer for the Jags, averaging 16.8 points per game.
