EATONTON, Ga. – The Augusta University men's golf team took 15th at the Linger Longer Invitational on Sunday at The Landing at Reynolds Lake Oconee. Ben van Wyk paced the Jaguars, finishing 15th at 1-under-par.
RESULTS
Co-hosted by Kennesaw State and Mercer on the par-72, 6,991-yard course, the Linger Longer featured Augusta, Charlotte, Georgia Tech, Virginia, Louisiana Tech, Florida Gulf Coast, High Point, Memphis, Chattanooga, Middle Tennessee State, Toledo, Kennesaw State, Mercer, Troy, North Alabama, and Georgia State.
Charlotte took the team title at 25-under-par. Georgia Tech finished second (-1), Virginia took the No. 3 spot (-9), Louisiana Tech took fourth (-4), and Florida Golf Coast rounded out the top five (+3).
Augusta was represented by Ben van Wyk, Dan Sheehan, Alex van Wyk, Dawson Booth, and Hampus Wijkstrom. Ben van Wyk shot 75(+3), a 69(-3), and a 71(-1) to lead the Jaguars at 1 under-par for the tournament. Dan Sheehan finished tied for 58th. Alex van Wyk and Dawson Booth both finished tied for 65th while Hampus Wijkstrom finished in 81st.

The Jaguars travel to the John Hayt Intercollegiate hosted by North Florida at Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl the 28th and 29th of this month.
