AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University Volleyball team pushed its win streak to 6 with definitive wins over both Converse and Coker to close the final day of the Pacer Invitational
GAME 1 vs Converse
Augusta showed its dominance early with wins in sets 1 and 2 by scores of 25-18 and 25-7. After slipping in the third set 25-21, the Jags bounced back to close the match 25-17.
Alexi Diaz-Infante led AU with 11 kills on 18 swings. Alysa Dutton and
Julie Archer also had double-digit kills, adding 10 apiece.
While libero
Holland Martin led the defensive effort,
Brooklyn Holthaus turned in her first double-double of the season with 22 assists and 11 digs.
Augusta took the serving battle, serving 11 aces to Converse's 3.
Converse was led by Anna Rabon's 9 kills.
GAME 2 vs Coker
Augusta never allowed Coker more than 17 point in any set to close out the weekend, outscoring their opponent 56 points to 30. The Jags posted an impressive .292 hitting percentage while holding the Cobras to an .075 hitting percentage.
Kylie Martin led AU with 9 kills and 3 aces.
Holland Martin led the match with 18 digs. Defender
Kiera Barr added 10.
Setter
Ally Thees made her debut, posting 9 assists, 2 aces, and 3 digs.
Augusta returns to action on Friday Sept 17
