Crawford Paces Jags in Loss to Top Ranked Flagler

AUGUSTA, Ga- The #17 Augusta University men's basketball team lost to the Flagler College Saints Saturday afternoon in a highly anticipated bout between top-ranked PBC teams.  Augusta moves to 79-66, 4-3 in PBC play while Flagler improves to 14-3, 7-1 in PBC play.

Augusta started the contest on an early 13-4 run. Miguel Arnold and Tyshaun Crawford both had 10 points in the first half. Persistent offense from the Saints saw the lead slowly dwindle. Augusta held a 35-31 advantage at the half.
Flagler tied the game at 37-37 with 18:04 left in the game. A layup by Darren Lucas-White sparked a run that saw the AU lead extend to six. For the next ten minutes, neither team led by more than 2 points, knotted at 59 points with just over 7 minutes to play. Hot offense propelled the Saints to a 20-7 run to close the game.
Flagler outscored AU 46-32 in the paint and won the rebounding battle 37-32.
 
Tyshaun Crawford led the Jaguar offense with 21 points. The junior also added 8 rebounds and 3 blocks in his 31 minutes of play. Darren Lucas-White carded 14 points and 8 rebound while Miguel Arnold had 12 points. Troy Cracknell was also in double figures, adding 10 points.
 
Flagler was paced by Jaizec Lottie's 22 points.
