GREENWOOD, TN – The Augusta University women's volleyball team avenged its earlier loss and secured the top-spot in the conference with a four-set victory over Lander on Tuesday evening. In a game that was moved due to Hurricane Ian, the Jaguars handled the Bearcats 3-1. Augusta moved to 15-5, 7-2 PBC while Lander is now 13-6, 6-4 PBC.
Augusta held the home team to a .071 hitting percentage while the Jags offense turned in a .213 hitting efficiency.
AU led in almost every category, turning in 13 blocks to Lander's 6.
Reigning PBC Player of the Week
Jazmyn Wheeler had 15 kills, 6 blocks, and 9 digs for the evening.
Madelyn Eden tallied 13 kills and 3 blocks and
Alexis Diaz-Infante had 10 kills and 6 blocks.
The defense was anchored by libero
Kiera Barr's 25 digs.
Setter
Samantha Zittrauer dished 32 assists.
