Milledgeville, Ga- The Augusta University women's basketball team pulled away from Southern Wesleyan 79-50 in its second game of the Conference Carolinas/PBC Crossover. The Jaguars improve to 2-0 while Southern Wesleyan falls to 0-2.

The first quarter of the game remained close, but AU led by as many as 14 points in the second quarter after a made three-pointer from Mone Florence. Southern Wesleyan went on a 5-0 run, but a three-pointer from Tomiyah Alford gave AU a 42-30 lead at half. Augusta hit 58 percent (33-of-66) from the field and 50 percent (10-of-20) from behind the arc. The Jaguars would take a commanding lead after a 21-0 run in the third quarter.
Three different Augusta players were in double figures. Mone Florence led the scoring effort with 25 points and three assists.
Kennedi Manning carded her second double-double of the season, tallying 16 points and 15 rebounds. Autumn Phillips added 10 points and nine rebounds.
Augusta will return to Christenberry Fieldhouse for its first home game of the season on Wednesday Nov. 16 for a 5:30pm matchup against Johnson C. Smith. Live stats and video can be found at augustajags.com
