AUGUSTA, Ga- The Augusta University women's basketball team opened its home slate with a win over Johnson C. Smith, improving to 3-0 for the season. The Jags held off a late offensive spurt by the Golden Bulls, winning 73-68 in Christenberry Fieldhouse.

The Jaguars offense was balanced with five different Augusta players in double figures. Mone Florence had 14,
Kennedi Manning had 13, Yamani Paul had 12, Autumn Phillips and Tomiyah Alford each had 11. Paul led the rebounding effort with seven while
Kennedi Manning snagged five.
Kiera Howard carded three steals in the game.
