AUGUSTA, GA. – The Augusta women's volleyball team heads to the NCAA Tournament for the fifth time after earning a No. 2 seed to the NCAA Southeast Region Sunday night.

The Jaguars are the No. 2 seed and will take on the No. 7 seed UNC Pembroke. Augusta defeated UNC Pembroke 3-2 on Oct. 18 this season.

The rest of the bracket is set with No. 1 Wingate taking on No. 8 USC Aiken No. 3 Carson-Newman battling No. 6 Flagler and No. 4 Anderson squaring off against No. 5 Lander.
 
It marks the fifth NCAA tournament appearance since 2014 for AU. The team made appearances in 2014, 2018, 2019, and 2021 – 2020 did not have an NCAA tournament due to Covid.

Augusta holds a 20-6 advantage all-time in the series against UNC Pembroke.

The tournament will take place Friday-Saturday-Sunday in Wingate, N.C. More information will follow after a teleconference Monday afternoon.
