WINAGTE, N.C.-   The Augusta University Women's Volleyball team is primed for its fifth appearance in the NCAA Southeast Region Tournament. The Jaguars will face UNC Pembroke on Friday Nov. 18 at 2:30pm.

SOUTHEAST REGION CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL

Augusta earned the No. 2 seed to the NCAA tournament after winning the PBC Regular Season Title.  The Jaguars (24-7) have won eight of their last ten games heading into the NCAA Tournament for the fourth straight year (the 2020-21 NCAA Tournament was cancelled due to the pandemic). In 2021, Augusta advanced to the Elite Eight first time in school history. Behind the play of PBC Player of the Year Jazmyn Wheeler and All-Conference Selections Alexis Diaz-Infante and Jada Suguturaga, the Jaguars look to advance further than ever before.

AU will face seventh-seeded UNC Pembroke in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Augusta defeated UNC Pembroke 3-2 on Oct. 18 this season. Augusta holds a 20-6 advantage all-time in the series against UNC Pembroke.


The winners of the eight regionals will advance to the national finals Dec. 1-3 in Seattle, Washington.
