PBC REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONS - Augusta Volleyball Earns PBC Regular Season Title with Wins Over Young Harris

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 AUGUSTA, Ga - The Augusta University women's volleyball team are the 2022 PBC Regular Season Champions. Two dominant wins against Young Harris on Saturday secured the title for the first time in school history. Currently holding the No. 2 spot in the Southeast Region, the Jaguars will now host the Peach Belt Conference Championships Nov. 10-12 at home in Christenberry Fieldhouse.  
 
In the first match of the day, the Jaguars spread the ball offensively. Jada Suguturaga, Madelyn Eden, Alexis Diaz-Infante, and Abigail Levines all had 7 kills. Jazmyn Wheeler and Kayli Cleaver added 6 kills each.

Defensively, Wheeler turned in a double-digit kill performance with 12. Suguturaga led the blocking effort with 5 blocks. Abigail Levines stuffed four shots.
Samantha Zittrauer led with 16 assists while Ally Thees had 12 and Abigail Breeden had 9.

In the second contest of the day, AU cruised to victory, defeating the visiting team 25-9, 25-16, 25- 15.

In the first set, AU had a .289 hitting percentage while holding Young Harris to a negative hitting percentage. In the second set, the Jaguars held the Mountain Lions to a .000 hitting percentage.

Alexis Diaz-Infante led the attacking effort with 11 kills, touting an impressive .526 hitting percentage.

Setter Samantha Zittrauer reached 2,000 career assists in the second game of the double-header.
