ORANGEBURG, SC - Kennedi Manning carded 28 points to help Augusta wiomen's basketball cruise past Claflin 62-48 on Thursday evening. The Jags are now 5-1 while Claflin falls to improves to 3-2 for the season.

It took Augusta five minutes to jump to an early seven-point lead. Two free throws by
Kennedi Manning with 2:22 left in the first quarter extended that lead to nine. Two three pointers by the Panthers shrunk the AU lead to two midway through the second quarter, but an answering three pointer by
Mone Florence again extended the lead.
Five consecutive layups to open the second half paced the Jaguars and established a double-figure lead. Augusta would lead for the rest of the contest, winning 62-48 on the road.
Kennedi Manning had a huge game for Augusta. The senior had a career-high 28 points to go along with a career-high 17 rebounds. Manning is now averaging over 15 points per game for the season.
Tomiyah Alford also had an impressive night, turning in 16 points, 5 rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Kiera Howard scored nine points and had a game-high 6 assists to match her 6 rebounds for the night.
