AUGUSTA, Ga – The Augusta University women's basketball team defeated the visiting Livingstone Blue Bears on Saturday afternoon. Augusta improves to 6-1 while Livingstone falls to 3-4.

After a close first quarter, a layup by
Tomiyah Alford gave Augusta a 6 point lead. The Jaguars would never relinquish the lead, staying ahead for the entire game. AU led by as many as 20 points in the final quarter.
Augusta carded 38 points in the paint to Livingstone's 26. Offensive rebounding also spurred the home team to 15 second chance points.
Kennedi Manning and
Tomiyah Alford paced Augusta. Alford had her first double-double of the season, carding 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists. Manning turned in 19 points and 14 rebounds.
Mone Florence scored 9 point while Autumn Philips and
Kiera Howard each had 8 points.
