PBC Player of the Year Jazmyn Wheeler Named AVCA All-American

LEXINGTON, KY – Augusta University junior Jazmyn Wheeler continues to rake in the postseason awards, as she was named American Volleyball Coach's Association's Honorable Mention All-American Wednesday afternoon. Jazmyn becomes the second player in the program's history to be named All-American.
 

Jazmyn Wheeler was named Peach Belt Player of the Year and first-team All-Conference. She was also named D2CCA first-team All-Region and AVCA first-team All-Region. Wheeler is an all-court presence who was instrumental in leading the Jaguars to their first-ever PBC regular-season championship in 2022. A junior outside hitter from Phoenix, Ariz., she averaged 3.27 kills and 3.14 digs per set. A three-time PBC Player of the Week this season, she was second in the league in kills per set and 10th in digs per set, one of three players in the league to be ranked in the top 10 in both categories. She is also 10th in hitting percentage and has 59 blocks and 27 aces on the season. Wheeler is the second straight Jaguar to be named the PBC Player of the Year and third overall.
