Tyree Myers opened scoring, mailing a shot from beyond the arc in the first possession of the game. After trailing for the first 15 minutes of the game, a three-pointer by CSU's Joshua Jerome have the Cougars their first lead of the game. A jumper by
Darren Lucas-White with 1:04 left to play sent Augusta to the locker room at halftime with a narrow 38-36 lead.
Miguel Arnold sored on the first two possessions of the second half to build a nine-point AU lead. Augusta shot almost 60 percent in the second half, turning a 2 point halftime lead to a 25 point lead with three minutes left in the contest. Augusta would win 83-65.
Tyshaun Crawford led scoring. The 7-1 center had 27 points to go along with 9 rebounds.
Darren Lucas-White turned in a season high 16 points, nabbed 10 rebounds, and dished 4 assists.
Miguel Arnold scored 16 points and
Tyree Myers added 10.
