Dahlonega, Ga- The Augusta University women's basketball team fell to the No. 3 ranked North Georgia Nighthawks 69-51 on Wednesday night. Augusta is now 11-8, 4-6 in conference play while North Georgia improves to 17-1, 11-0 in Peach Belt play.

The Jaguars took an early lead thanks to a trio of three point shots by
Zairya West. . Augusta got up 13-6 before the Nighthawks went on a 10-0 run to take the lead. Au went to the locker room down by four points. North Georgia pulled away in the third and went on to win 69-51.

Zairya Wet led scoring with 13 points, hitting 3-of-11 from beyond the arc.
Kennedi Manning had 10 points and led the rebounding effort with 9. Augusta scored 15 points off 23 North Georgia turnover.
