AMERICUS, Ga- The No. 23 Augusta University men's basketball team won a PBC contest against Georgia Southwestern on Monday night in Americus. Augusta is now 19-3, 9-3 in conference play. Georgia Southwestern falls to 9-12, 5-8 in PBC Play

A dunk from  Tyshaun Crawford gave the Jags an early 6 point lead in the first half. The host Hurricanes were able to mount a comeback and lead by a point after a three from Jarrett Adderton put the home team up 25-24. A 10-5 run to close the first half put gave Augusta a 37-32 lead heading into the second period. Three pointers from Miguel Arnold, David Viti, Troy Cracknell, Tyree Myers, and Darren Lucas-White opened 17 point lead for the Jaguars. Augusta would win its fifth game in a row 80-67.
 
Miguel Arnold led scoring with 23 points and 3 assists, marking the sixth time the guard has been over 20 points this season. Tyshaun Crawford shot 6-for-7 from the field for 17 points. David Viti was also in double-digit scoring with 10 for the night.
