SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Augusta women's golf senior
Natalia Yoko jumped 26 spots in the NCAA National Championships on Saturday in the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. After posting a first round score of 80 (+8) in her first round, Yoko improved by six strokes, carding a 74 (+2) on the second day of competition.

The championship began with 54 holes of stroke play. The top nine individuals not on an advancing team will play an additional round to determine the individual champion. Playing as an individual, Yoko represents the first time in history that Augusta women's golf is represented at the NCAA National Championships.

Yoko scored 80 (+8) in her first round, carding an eagle at the 7
th hole during day one of the championships. The senior posted three birdies in her second round. Heading into the third day, she is (+10) and tied for 82
nd along with 10 other golfers. Yoko is set to tee off at 8:31am CT.

Natalia Yoko was named to the Southland Conference first team. She carded a three-round total of 213 at the NCAA Franklin Regional and finished as the second individual not on an advancing team at three-under par. She beat out 13 individuals who entered the regional ranked in the top 100, according to Golfstat. Yoko's road to the championship was highlighted by a 68 (-4) in round two, the fourth-best score among the field.
Yoko ranked second in the conference with a 74.59 average round in the regular season, has averaged a tally of 72.33 in the Southland Conference Championship and NCAA Franklin Regional to drop her rate to 74.24.
