AUGUSTA, Ga. – Head Women's Basketball Coach
Millette Green announced the addition of six new players for the 2022-23 season. Mikayla Mobley, Randi Neal, Malia Grace, Brianna Mills, Yamani Paul, and Shamaria Jennings will join
Jenna Wooten as new additions to the Jaguar squad.
"We are excited to announce six additions to our recruiting class and program," said Head Coach Milette Green. "The incoming class consists of five transfers and two freshmen. This group has a history of winning at some level and strong desire to help us compete for championships. We are looking forward to starting the process of building chemistry between our strong core of returners from last season and the newcomers to achieve our ultimate goal."
Name: Mikayla Mobley

Mobley, a point guard from Waterbury, Connecticut, averaged 12 points and 5 assists during her senior season.
Name: Randi Neal
Year: Sophomore
Position: Guard / Forward
Height: 5-9
Hometown / Previous School: Joppatowne, MD / Johnson C Smith

"We recruited Randi out of school where she led her team to a pair of state championships. She will add some playing experience, versatility, defense and rebounding to the forward position."
Neal comes to Augusta after spending her freshman year at Johnson C. Smith. While in Charlotte, she saw action in 24 games and averaged 5 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. Neal plans to study Kinesiology
Name: Yamani Paul
Year: Junior
Position: Forward
Height: 6-1
Hometown / Previous School: Norcross, Ga / Kennesaw State

"Yamani adds some college playing experience. We love her ability to run the floor, score inside, stretch out to the three-point line, and rebound the basketball."
Yamani Paul will transfer to AU after spending her first two years at Kennesaw State. Paul played in 32 games while with the Owls. She graduated from Norcross High School and plans to major in criminal justice.

Year: Junior
Position: Guard
Height: 5-4
Hometown / Previous School: East Orange, NJ / Union County College
Millette Green on Brianna Mills
"Brianna stuffed the stat sheets for her junior college team while leading them to national championship tournament appearances. We like her ability to get in the lane to facilitate and score, rebound from the point guard position, and be a pesky defender on and off the ball."
Brianna Mills comes to Augusta as a transfer from Union City College in Cranford, New Jersey. During her first year at Union, she was named 2020 Freshman of the Year for Region 19, Division II First Team All-Region, and GSAC Player of the Year. During her sophomore season, she was crowned the Region 19 Tournament MVP in addition to being named a Second-Team All American and GSAC Player of the Year. During the 2021-22 season, Mills reached the 1,000 career point mark, was named a third-team All-American, and was honored as the All-Region Athlete of the Year. She plans to study psychology while at Augusta.

Year: Freshman

Hometown / Previous School: Dallas, Ga / Mount Paran Christian School

"Shamaria played a vital role in helping her high school team win the state championship this past season. She plays with a competitive edge and finds ways to get to her spots offensively"
Jennings will join the Jaguars after graduating from Mount Paran Christian School in 2022. Jennings was named 2022 Defensive Player of the Year. She helped lead her team to the 2021-22 State Championship as well as two region championships. The freshman guard plans to study finance.

Year: Junior
Position: Center
Height: 6-1
Hometown / Previous School: Grayson, Ga / Alabama State

"Malia brings some physicality to the post position. She can finish around the rim, rebound and defend."
Malia Grace will transfer to Augusta after spending the last two seasons as Alabama State. While in high school at Grayson High School she was named First Team and most improved. She was named to the honor roll throughout her high school career and averaged a double-double (10.9 points and 10.3 rebounds).
