AUGUSTA, Ga. – Head Men's Basketball Coach Dip Metress has announced the signing of Alvar Peltoniemi to the 2022-23 class.

Position: Guard
Height: 6'6"
Hometown / Previous Team: Espoo, Finland / Tapiolan Honka
 
"The first thing that stood out to me about Alvar was his ability to rebound the ball as a big wing and his lateral quickness guarding the ball," said Head Coach Dip Metress. "He will be a great addition to our program with his skill set."
 
Prior to his decision to join the Jaguars, Peltoniemi played for Tapiolan Honka, a first division team. There he averaged 16.5 points per game, 7.1 rebounds per game, and 3.5 assists per game. Hailing from Espoo, Finalnd, the 6'6" guard comes to Augusta with three years of eligibility remaining
