Autumn Phillips scored 12 points and played a full forty minutes in Augusta's 68-52 loss to USC Aiken in a Peach Belt Conference women's basketball game Wednesday evening at the Convocation Center.
Augusta is now 12-7 overall and 5-5 in the Peach Belt. USC Aiken improves to 11-8 overall and 5-4 in conference play.

Tomiyah Alford scored 9 of her 12 points in the first half, going 4-of-5 from the field and 1-of-1 from the three point line. The Pacers led by as many as ten points in the first quarter, outscoring Augusta 24-17. Both teams were evenly matched in the second period, each carding 12 points.
AU would continue to struggle in the second half, going 0-for-6 from beyond the arc and only hitting 33 percent of their free throws.
Alford matched Phillips' 12 points, adding 4 rebounds and a steal.
Kennedi Manning scored eight points and turned in three blocks.
Kiera Howard and
Malia Grace added six points apiece.
USC Aiken had five players card double-figures. Jentri Worley and Emily Trushel led the Pacers with 15 points and 14 points respectively. Breanna Gustave had 12 points, Hailey Unger had 11 points, and Kelsie Woodard had 10 points.
