AUGUSTA, Ga- The Augusta university women's volleyball team defeated rival USC Aiken 3-1 on Tuesday evening inside the Convocation Center in Aiken South Carolina. With the win the Jaguars improved to 19-4, overall and 5-1inside conference play. The Pacers are now 14 and 52 and five in PBC.
The Jaguars got off to a slow start, losing the first set 25-17 before winning the next three sets.25-17, 25-21, 25-17.
The Jaguar defense was anchored by
Dariana Luna's 26 digs.
Jazmyn Wheeler added 16 digs while setter
Janvier Buggs turned in 13 digs of her own.
The Augusta offense was highlighted by Wheeler. The senior reigning PBC player of the year registered 19 kills on a .432 hitting percentage  for yet another double double.
Sophia Kruczko and Kaylie each had 12 kills.
Buggs dished 40 assists.
Madelyn Eden had four total blocks to lead the match.
Augusta will take to the road, playing Flagler in Saint Augustine Saturday afternoon. Augusta then returns home to host Georgia college on Tuesday, October 31 for the inaugural trunk-or-treat game. Augusta University Student Life and Engagement will host a trunk or treat prior to the match. Â The trunk or treat activities will begin at 4:30 PM and continue on until 7 PM. Patrons are encouraged to come to the volleyball game which starts at 6 PM. admission is free for all.
