CORAL GABLES, FL - The Augusta University women's golf team turned in a fifth-place finish at the Hurricane Invitation to close out their fall season.
Augusta ended the fall on a strong note, shooting a shooting five-under 859 for fifth place at the Biltmore Golf Course. The Jaguars ended the third round one-over 289.
Host school Miami took the team championship going 27-under par.
Napabhach Boon-In was the model of consistency. The senior led AU with 1-under 71s on all three days of play to finish tied for 12
th. Teammate
Victoria Zheng used two birdies on her final day to card an even-par 72 and finish her tournament tied for 16
th.
After shooting a team-low round of 69 in the second round of the play,
Kennedy Carroll finished her final round with an even-par 72 for a 21st-place finish overall. Kiera Gonzalez-McCarthy improved on her round two score, finishing her final day with a 2-over 74.
Daniela Burgos finished 48
th overall in Coral Gables.

Playing as an individual,
Emma Charles shot a 6-under 66 in the second round before finishing with a 73 in her final 18 holes.

Augusta will have an extended winter break and will return to competition Feb.18-19 at the Moon Golf Invitational in Melbourne, Florida.
