NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Augusta University women's basketball team improved to 2-0 after beating North Greenville 59-55 on Saturday afternoon. North Greenville is now 1-1. Augusta will have a full week off before heading to Wingate on Saturday, Nov. 18.

Tao three pointers helped the Crusaders jumped out to a 16-7 lead in the first quarter. North Greenville would lead by as many as 18 points in the second quarter. A made triple from
Nyaneit Puok with 39 seconds left to play cut the lead to 36-25 at halftime.
AU started the second half with a shot from beyond the arc from Puok that cut the lead to single digits. Back-to-back three pointers from
Mone Florence and
Kalen Surles cut the lead to three points. A jumper from
Tomiyah Alford tied the game at 52 with just under five minutes left to play. The Jaguars would go on a seven point run seal the road victory.
Florence paced AU with 16 points, two steals and two rebounds.
Kennedi Manning carded her second double-double in as many days with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Tomiyah Alford also had 14 points to go along with seven rebounds.
