AUGUSTA, Ga – The No. 24 Augusta University women's basketball fell 82-75 to Fayetteville State on Saturday afternoon. Augusta is now 4-2 while Fayetteville State improves to 6-1Augusta will have a full week of rest, returning to play on Saturday Dec. 9 against Virginia Union.

Plying without leading scorer Autumn Phillips, the Jags struggled to get going offensively in the first quarter. The visiting team outscored the Jags 27-14, hitting five threes in the process. AU was able to turn the tide in the second half, erasing the deficit and tying the score 40-40 with a last second jumper and made free throw from Laniyah Richardson.
 
The Jags would lead by as many as eight points in the third quarter, but steady offense and multiple trips to the free throw line pushed Fayetteville State to an 82-75 victory.
Kennedi Manning turned in a season high 27 points and 15 rebounds, going 8-of-12 from the field. Mone Florence used five three-pointers to held score 19 points. Tomiyah Alford added 13 points and assists to the stat sheet.
 
FSU was led by Aniylah Bryant's 27 points.
