AUGUSTA, Ga. – Ending another historic season, the Augusta University men's basketball team fell 83-77 to 12th-ranked USC Aiken in the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional semifinals in Christenberry Fieldhouse.

The Jaguars opened the game with a three-point shot from
Ja'Queze Kirby, before Aiken went on a 14-0 run over the next six minutes. The Pacers held a double-digit lead until a dunk from Kirby with 3:59 left in the first half cut the lead to eight. Augusta would head to the locker room at halftime down 38-29.
Two three pointers from
Miguel Arnold early in the second half put the score at 41-35, but answering three-point baskets from the Pacers extended the lead back to 9. Senior
Darren Lucas-White forced a turnover with 2:38 left that ended with a trip to the free-throw line for Crawford.
Tyree Myers was fouled making a layup and hit a free throw with 56 seconds left in the fame to cut the lead to five, but Augusta would fall 84-77.
Tyree Myers paced the Jaguars offense, scoring 20 points while adding 4 assists.
Miguel Arnold added 17 points and 6 rebounds.
Tyshaun Crawford tabbed 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 block.
Ja'Queze Kirby had 13 points and 4 steals while
Darren Lucas-White had 6 points and two steals.
The 2022-23 basketball season ends for Augusta with a 27-8 record and wraps ones of the most prolific basketball eras in the Augusta basketball history. The senior class of Crawford, Kirby, Lucas-White and Myers have all reached 1,000 career points. Myers become the all-time assist leader in the Peach Belt Conference while Arnold cemented himself as the career three-pointer leader for the conference. The group has won 118 games and had an
NCAA National Runner-Up finish in 2022. In their time as Jaguars, the team has secured two regular season PBC titles and three PBC Tournament titles. Under their leadership, the Jaguars have reached the NCAA tournament every season since 2018-2019.
