AUGUSTA, Ga – The Augusta University baseball team fell 9-0 to North Georgia on Saturday afternoon in the second game of the series. The final game of the series will be played Sunday March 5 at 1pm.
Augusta watched the game slip away early and couldn't manage to recover in the loss. The Nighthawks scored three runs in the first, a single run in the second and three runs in the fourth inning before tacking on insurance runs in the fifth and eighth.
Britt Kelly took the loss for AU. The lefty lasted one and one-third innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out one and walking one.
Charlie Erickson led the Jaguars with one hit in three at bats.
North Georgia racked up 15 hits in the game.
