AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta's Tyshaun Crawford has been selected to participate in the 2023 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament (PIT), as announced by the organization recently.
 
The four-day tournament features 64 of the top collegiate seniors across the country, playing in Portsmouth, Va., Wednesday through Saturday. All 30 NBA teams and their scouts will be in attendance, with the 12-game event open to the public.
 
Crawford will play on the Portsmouth Partnership team alongside Bowling Green's Leon Ayers III, Damion Baugh of TCU, Joe Bryant Jr. of Norfolk State, and Toumani Camara of Dayton, Desmond Cambridge Jr of Arizona State, Javonte Perkins of Saint Lewis, and Notre Dame's Nate Laszewski. They open the tournament in the first game Wednesday at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
 
The 7-foot-1 center led the Jaguars to a 27-6 overall record with his 21.4 points per game, a mark that places him first in the Peach Belt Conference and 15th among Division II scorers. Crawford also tops the conference in field goals and field goal percentage (65 %). Crawford is first in the conference in blocks (2.0 BPG) and second in rebounds (8.0 rebounds per game). He led the conference in offensive rebounding (3.4 per game).
 
Crawford was named a 2023 NABC All-American. He was named the first team All-PBC, 2023 PBC Tournament MVP and to the 2023 Bevo Francis Top 25 watch list. The Griffin, Georgia native played in 115 games at Augusta and scored 1,947 points in his career at AU.
