St. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Augusta University softball team wrapped the 2023 season with a 2-1 loss to Flagler Sunday afternoon. The Jaguars end the season 17-28, 4-23 in PBC. The young Jaguar squad had no seniors this year and will return a wealth of experienced players to the 2024 team.

The Jaguar outhit the Saints 9 to 5 in the final game of the series.
In the third inning, Flagler nabbed its two scores off a 2 RBI homer to left field. In the fifth, Augusta capitalized on an error that scored
Grace Bridges for the 2-1 game.
Lauren Slade was 2-for-2 to lead Augusta will
Paige Patterson was 2-for-3. Seven Augusta batters tallied at least one hit.
Alissa Bolinger (6-10) got the start for AU, pitching 3.0 innings and allowing 3 hits for 2 runs while striking out 1 batter.
Ansley Gibson pitched the final 3.0 innings, allowing 2 hits while striking out 1.
