ST. AUGUSTINE, FL - The Augusta University women's basketball team defeated Flagler 66-58 to improve to 5-0 in conference play. AU improves to 11-4 overall with the win. The Jags will take on a tough Georgia Southwestern team on Saturday, Jan. 20. Tipoff is set for 5:30pm.

Autumn Phillips had a slow first half, going 0-7 from the field. The Saints took a 20-12 lead after the first quarter. Field goals from
Tomiyah Alford and
Kennedi Manning sparked a second quarter comeback. The teams were tied 28-28 at halftime.
A three-pointer from
Mone Florence with three minutes left in the third period gave AU a 41-36 lead. A layup from
Mikayla Mobley in the final seconds of the third quarter extended the lead to 49-42.
A triple from
Autumn Phillips gave Augusta its largest lead of the game with eight minutes left in regulation. An answering three from Augusta native Jessica Dowdy put the Saints back within striking distance, but the Jags would secure the 66-58 victory.
Alford led the Jaguar scoring with 16 points. Phillips had 15 points while Manning carded 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Mone Florence added 9 points of her own.
