AUGUSTA, GA- The Augusta women's basketball team defeated North Georgia, 68-59, at Christenberry Fieldhouse. AU is now 12-6, 6-2 PBC and North Georgia is now 11-7, 4-4 PBC. Augusta travels to Georgia College on Wednesday, Jan. 31. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.

Augusta started off the game on a 12-2 run thanks to Tomiyah Alford's and-one conversion, but North Georgia stormed back to take an 18-16 lead after the first quarter.
In the second quarter, North Georgia stretched out their lead over Augusta to 31-25 after some Jaguar turnovers.
The third quarter was all Jaguars as Kennedi Manning took the game over, scoring seven points in the period. Augusta led 47-43 heading into the fourth quarter.
The Jaguars kept their foot on the gas in the fourth and snagged another home conference win 68-59.
Kennedi Manning led the Jaguars in scoring with 24 points on 11-of-18 shooting. She also led with eight rebounds. Tomiyah Alford followed her with 21 points and three steals.
Augusta dominated the paint, outscoring North Georgia 38-24 inside.
Kaylee Sticker led North Georgia with 17 points.
