AUGUSTA, Ga - The Augusta University women's tennis team outlasted Francis Marion 4-3 Monday afternoon on the road in Florence, South Carolina. The Jags improve to 5-2 with the victory while Francis Marion falls to 2-4 overall. Augusta will travel to the University of West Georgia on Tuesday, Feb 27.
 
Francis Marion started the day taking the doubles point as Camilla Taborga and Madeline Frediani were the only duo to win their match. Juliana Martinez opened singles play with a strong 6-0, 6-1 victory to even the score. Giovanna Patrocino then secured the win at the No. 6 singles, defeating her opponent 6-4, 7-6 (9-7). After a three set win from Taborga, Priscilla Landi cemented the AU victory with a come-from-behind victory 0-6, 6-2, 7-5.
