AUGUSTA, Ga - The Augusta University women's team dropped a hard-fought 3-4 decision to West Georgia on Tuesday afternoon at Newman Tennis Center. Augusta is now 5-3 overall. The women's squad will travel to Belmont Abbey on Friday Feb. 29 for a non-conference doubleheader.
 
After the duo of Andrea Gonzalez and Juliana Martinez won at the No. 1 double spot and Madeline Frediani and Camilla Taborga fell 3-6 at the No. 2 spot, the doubles point came down to a battle at the No. 3 spot. Augusta, Priscilla Landi and Giovanna Patrocinio would give a valiant effort, but fell 7-6 to give West Georgia the point.
 
The singles contests were split evenly – Martinez, Landi, and Patrocinio all won their matches in straight sets.
