CARROLLTON, Ga - The Augusta University baseball team dropped a 19-6 decision to West Georgia on the road on Tuesday evening.

The Jaguars are now 8-8 while West Georgia is 9-6.

The Jaguars got on the board first off a bases-loaded walk in the first inning. The home team quickly responded, using a double and two singles in the same inning to take a 3-1 lead. A big second inning extended that lead to 7-1.

Parker Ingram provided a spark for AU, hitting another solo homer in the top of the third. Singles from
Gavin Wright and
Jordan Wilkie added two other scores in the inning.

In the fourth inning, AU capitalized on a wild pitch for a run. The final AU run came off a double from
Harrison Aulds in the eighth inning.
The Jags had 11 hits in the game.
Jordan Wilkie led the team with 3 hits in five at bats. Ingram provided pop in the middle of the lineup, going 2-for-4 with 2 runs driven in.
Dylan Wanat also collected two hits.
Jude King got the start for Augusta. Seven different AU pitchers saw time pitching in relief.
