AUGUSTA, GA- The Augusta men's basketball team wrapped up the regular season with a win over USC Beaufort, 98-91. Their record improves to 17-11 overall and 10-8 in conference play on Saturday afternoon. Next up for Augusta is the Peach Belt Conference tournament on Wednesday, March 6. Details to come.

Points were at a premium in the first half, the Jaguars took an 11-point lead and looked like they were going to run away. Instead, USCB went on a 15-5 run to close the half. The Jaguars led 48-47 at the break. The second half was just as tight as the first, but Augusta was able to stay ahead the entire half. They pulled away with a minute to go on a David Viti three-pointer.
The Jaguars were led by Demitri Gardner with 27 points. Behind him was Max Amadasun with another double-double, 22 points and 13 rebounds. David Viti also added 18.
USC Beaufort was led by Marcus Overstreet with 26 points.
