USC Beaufort jumped out to a quick 11-4 lead over Augusta, but it was short-lived as the Jaguars fought back to take a 16-14 advantage at the end of the quarter. The Jaguars played stifling defense in the second period as they held USCB to only 5 points. They continued staying hot into the break and led 34-19.
Augusta continued their dominance through the third quarter leading 51-32. Autumn Phillips athleticism was giving the Sand Sharks all kinds of problems. USCB got the momentum and cut the deficit all the way down to five with a minute to go in the game, but thanks to the Jaguars knocking down free throws, it never got any closer.
Autumn Phillips led the Jaguars with 15 points, Senior Tomiyah Alford followed with 14.
Yamani Paul led Augusta in rebounds with seven.
