GREENWOOD, SC – The Augusta University baseball team dropped a narrow 3-2 contest in extra innings on the road Friday night. Augusta moves to 11-10, 2-2 PBC while Lander improves to 13-.7, 2-2 PBC. Augusta will continue the three-game PBC series on Saturday, March 9 and Sunday, March 10.
In what turned into a fierce pitching battle, both teams were held scoreless until a double from
Zach Kwiatkowski plated
Harrison Aulds in the sixth inning. A single from Aulds in the seventh inning plated
Nolan Turner. Lander evened the score in the bottom of the seventh.
With the game tied 2-2 at the bottom of the tenth, a double from Lander's O. Zohn turned in the run for a walkoff win.

Dylan Wanat was 3-for-5 while Lodise and
Parker Ingram both had multiple hits for the Jaguars.
Both teams were strong from the bump. AU pitchers were able to strike out four batters.
Mason Bernard stepped on the mound first, surrendering four hits and two runs over 8.0 innings.
Logan Howell (0-1) took the loss for Augusta after tossing the final inning.
