AUGUSTA, Ga. – Head Men's Basketball Coach Dip Metress has announced the signing of Chaevon Torrance to the 2024-25 class.

"When I saw Chaevon practice in the year I felt like I was watching a very gifted multi-dimensional player that had tremendous upside," said Head Coach Dip Metress. "He is an extremely unselfish player that has a knack for the game and possesses really quick bounce off the floor and showed the ability to guard people one on one."
 
Torrance joins the Jaguars from Franklin High School in Virginia. He was a two-time First-Team All-Region and First-Team All-State performer. After being named first-team all-Tri-Rivers District in 2023 and 2024, he was named the 2024 Tri-Rivers District Player of the Year. In 2023, he was voted the Region 1B Player of the Year. Torrance led the Franklin High School team in both scoring and assists. The forward had an impressive stat line in his senior season, averaging 21.1 points per game,  10.7 rebounds per game, 4.4 assists per game, 2.7 steals per game, and 2.6 blocks per game. In his two years at Franklin High School, he turned in 1018 points, 558 rebounds, 179 assists, 130 steals, and 145 blocks.
