Augusta University women's basketball guard Elyse Autrey and men's golfer Stefan Jacobs have been named the Georgia's Own Student-Athletes of the Month for November. The Georgia's Own Student-Athlete of the Month Award honors one male and one female Augusta University student-athlete from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
Elyse Autrey – Women's Basketball
Autrey, a sophomore guard from Fairfax, Va., turned in a strong month of November, averaging 16.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists across four games. She scored 24 points with seven rebounds and five assists in Augusta's matchup with Catawba and added 19 points, five rebounds, and two steals in the Jaguars' road win over No. 2 Coker. Autrey opened the month with 15 points and seven boards against North Greenville and followed with 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists versus Barton, helping anchor Augusta's early-season momentum on both ends of the floor.
Stefan Jacobs – Men's Golf
Jacobs, a senior from Johannesburg, South Africa, delivered a standout performance in Augusta's final fall event at the Pearl at Kalauao Invitational in Hawaii, finishing third in a field of 108 golfers. The senior fired a 5-under-par 67 in the final round, rolling in seven birdies and posting two stretches of back-to-back birdies that fueled his climb up the leaderboard. Jacobs finished the tournament at 8-under-par as Augusta placed third in the team standings at 7-under, highlighted by a 9-under final round that marked the second-lowest team score of the day.
