St. Augustine, FL – Despite battling through much of the game without key players Yamani Paul and Autumn Phillips, the Augusta women's basketball team fell 76-68 to Flagler on Wednesday night at Flagler Gym. The loss moves Augusta to 15-7 overall and 7-5 in Peach Belt Conference play, while Flagler improves to 9-13 and 5-8 in the league.

Augusta opened strong, leading 19-14 early before Flagler surged ahead in the second quarter with a 27-point frame, taking a 48-33 advantage into halftime. The Jaguars fought back in the second half, cutting the deficit to single digits in the fourth quarter, but Flagler's efficiency from beyond the arc and at the free-throw line sealed the outcome.
Quinasia Abercrombie recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds, leading Augusta on the glass. Autumn Phillips contributed 12 points before exiting the game, hitting two three-pointers. Elyse Autrey and Amari Jackson added key scoring off the bench, finishing with 10 and 11 points, respectively. Je'Bria Fullwood also provided energy with eight points and four rebounds.
Flagler's Sharale McCormick led all scorers with 27 points, shooting 10-of-13 from the free-throw line, while Se'Lah Reddick added 12 points and three rebounds.
Despite outscoring Flagler 32-28 in the second half, Augusta was unable to overcome the second-quarter deficit. The Jaguars controlled the rebounding battle 35-34, but turnovers and Flagler's seven three-pointers proved to be deciding factors.
