Laredo, Tx- The Augusta men's golf team is taking part in the Border Olympics, hosted by the University of Houston at Laredo Country Club. After two rounds,
Bo Blanchard II is tied for 12th overall at three-over par.
As a team, the Jaguars are tied for 13th place, eight shots out of the top 10. Louisiana leads the tournament at +4, with Houston one shot behind. New Mexico State sits in third at +8.
Blanchard registered five straight pars to start round one before a birdie on the sixth hole. He added two more birdies on the back nine and shot a 2-under 70. He followed that up with a 75 in round two, adding two more birdies to his total.
The entire field played 36 holes on Monday, and three golfers are tied for the lead at +2.
The Jaguars' Pieter Rossouw Jr. is at +6 in 40th place. Rossouw's first round featured five birdies before he carded a 72. His second round included one birdie, two bogeys, and a pair of double bogeys, giving him a 76.
Josh Koekemoer and Chapman Barnett are each at +11 for the counting Jaguar scores.
Stefan Jacobs sits at +16.
